日前 Intel 公佈了 2016年第一季財報
宣佈全球將裁員 12000 人
而目前的業務中
Atom 晶片將被放棄
包含了 Sofia 處理器
和預計今年上市的 Broxton 處理器
而用於平板的 Atom X5
也將淡出市場

Intel 在手機處理器的努力
看來以失敗告終了

在競爭激烈的手機處理器
Intel 終究沒能闖出一片天
不過現在除了蘋果 高通和聯發科外
三星 華為的自製處理器也有相當高的評價
更不乏其他躍躍欲試的廠商(小米?)
情勢和 Intel 熟悉的桌上型處理器生態大不相同
如果沒有勝算
或許早點退出
不失為明智之舉
